Google releases new Search Console Insights reports

Google has revamped its Search Console insights report; it now is integrated as a tab within the main Search Console reporting tool, plus the reporting for Search Console insights have been updated and redesigned.

Integrated within Search Console. Google said it is now “integrated directly into the main Search Console interface, replacing the current standalone beta experience.”

Here is what the section looks like, it is named “Insights.”

Insights Report Scaled

New reports. Google Search Console Insights has updated the reporting, these updates allow you to quickly see your total clicks and impressions, the top pages in Discover and easier to access trending changes to your site. Here is what the reports look like, specifically the “quieries leading to your site” section:

Insight Cards

Rolling out now. Google has started to roll out these new insights, I personally see them for some of my sites. This will roll out over the coming weeks, so if you don’t see it yet, you should soon.

When did it first launch. Google launched a beta of this last year and then opened limited access to some content creators to debug it and give Google feedback on the reports. Back then, Google said, “it’s a way to provide content creators with the data they need to make informed decisions and improve their content.”

Then in June 2021, Search Console Insights launched for all.

Why we care. These reports can be useful for you to better understand how your content and website is performing within Google Search. So check out the new reports, dive in and make sure to also check out the new documentation over here.
